Vacancy Production & Logistics Manager

What does your position look like?

You will ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the team, which consists of approximately 30 employees, including 3 team leaders, 2 process engineers and 1 technical service employee. Together with the team leaders, you ensure that the workstations are properly staffed and monitor that the schedule is adhered to. You will work with a training plan to ensure continuous sufficient knowledge transfer within the team and ensure quality.

Team utilisation matches the requested capacity, by responding to changes in demand in a timely manner. You will consult closely with Supply Chain and Sales on this. You will focus on coaching and developing your team by supporting supervisors, leveraging strengths and encouraging development activities.

You are constantly working on improvements, applying the Lean Manufacturing principle. For you, these are not tricks, but methods that you apply naturally. You translate identified bottlenecks, including cross-departmental bottlenecks, into improvement projects.

You will also prepare an annual departmental plan with associated KPIs and budgeting. Once approved, you will have the mandate to execute this plan and take responsibility for achieving the set goals.

You will be part of the middle management (MT), in which you will work with the department managers of Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, Technical Support, Marketing and Sales on the tactical implementation of our business strategy. You will report to the Managing Director Operations.

You know how to form a team with clear goals like no other. You are visible on the shop floor, take responsibility and know how to motivate your team. With a results-oriented mindset, you are tenacious, even in the face of setbacks. 

You have at least a completed college education (preferably in a technical or business administration direction), experience with improvement methodologies and Lean Manufacturing. You have leadership experience at tactical level in a manufacturing environment and are familiar with working with budgets. Continuous improvement and quality assurance are a matter of course for you.
