ETNA at SABA
Easy maintenance for ease of daily use
Easy maintenance for ease of daily use
How do you support a sustainable working environment with coffee that is as reliable as your products? SABA in Dinxperlo found the answer in collaboration with local partners: Den Leeuw Koffie Groep and ETNA Coffee Technologies. In the brand-new sustainable headquarters, opened in 2022, six ETNA coffee machines ensure a consistent, high-quality coffee experience for employees, drivers and guests every day.
The SABA site is a feast for the eyes. The brand-new building features a sedum green roof, sustainable materials and plenty of light. At the heart of the building, there is a work café where guests and around 150 SABA HQ employees can enjoy a fresh lunch and a ‘cuppa’ from the three ETNA Dorado Touch 7” Espresso Mediukm coffee machines together. There are also two ETNA Dorado coffee machines for the office staff in the kitchenettes on the first floor.
In the reception area next to the warehouse on the other side of the building, we find an ETNA Dorado Touch 7” instant medium coffee machine.
For SABA, the speed of coffee delivery is particularly important. In this particular spot, an instant machine is the perfect solution: a quality cup of coffee in 8 seconds. The drivers can grab a delicious coffee here on the go as they quickly get back on the road.
Arjen Hagevoort handled the procurement of SABA's new construction project. “We chose Den Leeuw Koffie Groep because we didn’t want to be tied to a subscription or contract for our coffee supply.” For the coffee machines themselves, SABA deliberately chose us: a local manufacturer that stands for reliable machines and flexible solutions.
Leon Lans, manager for sales at Den Leeuw Koffie Groep, adds: "We deliberately work without contracts. "We aim for a long-term relationship and mutual trust. With our concept and cooperation with ETNA, we can completely unburden customers like SABA, and we find that this is much appreciated."
SABA also consciously chooses suppliers from the region. “We think it’s important to source locally,” Arjen continues. “This way, we motivate local entrepreneurship, know where the products come from and keep the lines of communication short.”
Leon continues: "We have noticed the same trust in our collaboration with ETNA that we offer to our customers like SABA. When I call ETNA to place an order or ask a technical question, I know exactly who will be answering my call. And they’ll say straight away: We’ll sort it for you, Leon. That makes you feel good. You feel valued as a customer."
According to Leon, ETNA’s corporate culture fits perfectly with that of Den Leeuw Koffie Groep. "The friendly dealings, short lines of communication and the of 'just do it' mentality make for a real connection. Just like we do work with our customers."
It is easy to add your own branding to our coffee machines, even in small quantities. At SABA, the machines are fitted with the company logo, which immediately gives them a personalised look.
"On the 7" touchscreen, customers can not only display their logo, but also, for example, show promotions or different images," Leon explains. This makes the coffee machine a real communication channel. In practice, we can see this is being used a lot."
“I regularly come across ETNA machines that have been in use for more than ten years,” says Leon. "Even if they aren't always perfectly cleaned, they still perform excellently. That says a lot about the quality of the components, such as the metal brewing unit, the Braumann brewer, which lasts much longer than the plastic brewing units we see on other machines."
Leon continues: "For us as an ETNA partner, it’s also a great advantage that we can easily adapt the coffee machines to the customer’s requirements. Double or single dispensing, chocolate module or not, large or small coffee - the drinks are easy to configure. This makes customisation easy."
Laura Beekema, canteen worker in SABA's work café, together with her colleague takes care of the daily maintenance of the coffee machines. She is in regular contact with Thijs from Den Leeuw Koffie Groep, who replenishes the stock of products every fortnight.
“Daily cleaning runs automatically as soon as we enter a code via the service panel,” says Laura. “We clean all machines with a cleaning tablet once a week. Then we go through the program step by step. With six machines in the building, that's a bit of a chore, but we enjoy doing it for our colleagues."
