Espresso

To many people, espresso is ‘coffee with an extra plus’. Making a genuine espresso takes skills. Skills that we, ETNA Coffee Technologies, translate as much as possible into a coffee machine.

And that’s what you taste when drinking our espresso. For espresso fans, nothing beats a genuine Italian espresso. Pure enjoyment, of the aroma of fresh, brown roasted, ground coffee beans through which hot water is forced under high pressure. That is espresso.

It’s taken practically two centuries of development for this delicate process to be performed perfectly by the current generation of espresso machines.

In 1820 Frenchman Louis Bernard Rabaut conceived the idea of passing water through the coffee in the form of steam: the basic principle of the espresso machine was born. Around 1900 Italians devised ways of improving this process. This resulted in the introduction of the first patented espresso machine, in 1902. The youngest generation of ETNA machines translates barista skills to superior technology, resulting in an excellent espresso according to the best Italian traditions.
